The Village of River Hills does not pick up grass clippings, leaves or garden debris whether or not the materials are placed in bags or otherwise. Please do not place these items within the road right of way along with tree branches during brush pick up months. The department public works (by village ordinance), will not pick them up and if the materials are left within the road right of way, the resident will have to pay for the removal. Please dispose of these items by composting, mulching or placing in the woods for decomposing. Wisconsin landfills are not permitted to bury these materials along with other household rubbish. Some landscaping contractors in the area may remove these items as a contracted service, but residents need to contact them on their own.
