From: Village Manager , T. Tollaksen Both the Village levy and the tax rate per $1,000 of assessed value on your property are declining from last year. In setting the levy and adopting the 2012 budget, the Village Board focused on maintaining quality services to the residents at the least tax burden. The tax levy changes of the other taxing entities included on the tax bill vary from -3.54% to +10.83% for those in the Glendale/River Hills School District and from +0.36% to +9.97% for those in the Maple Dale/Indian Hill School District. Over all, most taxpayers will see a small increase in total taxes due. Changes in individual tax bills may vary from these figures due to adjustments in assessed valuation. For the first time, your sewer bill is being included with the tax bill in an effort to reduce costs connected with separate billing.
