OFFICIAL NOTICE
VILLAGE OF RIVER HILLS
ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
Sealed bids will be
received by the Village of River Hills (the Village) until 10:00 a.m. (CDST) on Tuesday,
June 10, 2008, at the office of the Village Clerk of the Village of River
Hills, 7650 North Pheasant Lane, River
Hills, Wisconsin at which time the bids will be publicly opened and read for
the furnishing of all materials and the doing of all work for patching and cape
seal application as well as pavement recycling and resurfacing, according to
the specifications as follows:
Approximately 4330
lineal feet of roadway recycling and resurfacing with bituminous concrete
surface course on:
Cedar Lane
Manor Lane
As part of said proposal, each bidder shall submit a full and complete
list of all of the proposed subcontractors and the class of work to be
performed by each, which list shall not be altered without the written consent
of the Village Engineer.
All Contractor(s)
and Subcontractor(s) are required to furnish a Certificate of Insurance in
accordance with the insurance requirements of the contract documents.
All Contractor(s)
and subcontractor(s) are subject to the prevailing wage rate and hours of
labor, where applicable, and contractors are to furnish the Village with
evidence of compliance with the said applicable statutory requirements from
each of its agents and subcontractors, all consistent with the provisions of
Section 66.0903, Wisconsin Statutes.
All contractor(s)
and subcontractor(s) must insure that all employees and applicants for
employment are not discriminated against because of race, religion, color,
national origin, age, handicap, sex, physical condition, or developmental
disability as defined s. 51.01(5), Wis.
Stats.
All bids shall be
submitted on blanks prepared for that purpose and prices shall be stated in
writing and in figures.
No bids shall be
received or considered unless accompanied by cash, a bid bond, or an
unqualified certified check payable to the Village of River Hills in an amount
equal to 5 percent of the bid as a guarantee that if the bid is accepted, the
bidder will execute and deliver the proper contract and bond within 10 days
from the awarding of the contract by the Village Board. In the event the bidder to whom the contract
is awarded fails to file the executed contract and bond within the time set,
the bidder's cash, bid bond, or cashier's check shall be forfeited to the
Village of River Hills as liquidated damages.
Work to be completed
by October 15, 2008.
Corporate surety is
required on performance and payment bonds.
No bid may be
withdrawn within a period of sixty (60) days after the date set for the opening
of bids.
Copy of the
specifications and contract documents are on file at the Office of the Village
Clerk,
The Village Board of
the Village of River Hills hereby reserves the right to accept the bid most
advantageous to it, to reject any or all bids and to waive any informality in
the bidding.
The letting of the
work described herein is subject to the provisions of Section 62.15 and
66.0901, Wisconsin Statutes.
